Cash Application Associate

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Cash Application Associate to assist with the day-to-day cash application process for Canadian operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and timely posting and investigating customer payments, as well as performing account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payment Processing: Accurately apply incoming payments from customers against their respective invoices or accounts receivable.
  • Account Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile cash receipts and apply adjustments or corrections as needed.
  • Bank Deposits: Prepare bank deposits for various entities.
  • Credit Card Refund: Process credit card refunds, ensuring accurate management of the refund process.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payment applications promptly.
  • Communication: Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in cash application and accounts receivable, a college diploma, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in typing and computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is also required. Experience with Navusoft, TRUX Route Management, and Great Plains systems is preferred.
