We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, portioning of food, and serving customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food to customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist with food preparation, including portioning and presentation
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning counters, tables, and floors
  • Stock shelves, refrigerators, and salad bars as needed
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash and balancing the register
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the food service industry is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Cash handling experience is an asset
