Scientist - Female Reproductive Health

The scientist position in Dr. Shuo Xiao's lab at Rutgers University is focused on understanding the effects of environmental chemicals and clinical drugs on female ovarian functions and fertility. The scientist will work on projects related to molecular mechanisms of female ovarian toxicities caused by harmful algal bloom toxins and other emerging climate change-related environmental contaminants, novel ovulation-based contraceptive discovery, or molecular mechanisms of chemotherapy-induced premature ovarian failure and infertility.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, animal science, or reproductive and developmental biology or toxicology, and experience in laboratory research, including cell culture, animal models, and biochemical assays.
The scientist will work closely with Dr. Xiao and his team to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results. They will also contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and presentations for scientific meetings.
