Job Summary

The Route Manager Trainee (RMT) program at Waste Management is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become frontline Route Managers. This comprehensive training program focuses on developing financial profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with frontline employees
  • Participate in regular reviews of best practices to enhance daily performance
  • Collaborate with Drivers and Technicians to develop job-related skills
  • Complete assigned RMT training curriculum and other training programs
  • Actively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations
  • Develop knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety programs and systems, operational business processes, performance management, dispatch & routing, and fleet maintenance processes

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to relocate within a designated geographic area and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills, and strong decision-making skills.
