Pharmacist - Primary Health Care Specialist

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our Primary Health Care team. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve drug-related problems, complete medication reconciliation, participate in interprofessional medical rounds, provide patient education, and make therapeutic recommendations to the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services. Although the base site of this position is the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, this position provides coverage to other locations within Yarmouth County as required.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist who possesses the following qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
- Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and CompensationThis is a Casual Relief position with a competitive hourly rate of $43.67 - $53.24. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.
