Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Editorial Videographer to join our team at Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content that showcases the stories and experiences of Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute video shoots, including location scouting and equipment setup;
  • Operate and maintain camera and sound equipment, ensuring high-quality video and audio capture;
  • Collaborate with producers and editors to develop story concepts and visual approaches;
  • Conduct interviews and capture B-roll footage to support storytelling;
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content;
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues, ensuring sensitivity and accuracy in storytelling;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video production.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in a related field, such as film or television production;
  • Proven experience in video production, including camera operation and editing;
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills;
  • Valid driver's license and a clear driver's abstract.
