Job Summary:

The Assembly Specialist is responsible for tracing and assembling metal pieces on various profiles and assemblies in different workshops. This role requires preparing and assembling complex assemblies, cutting with a torch, preparing plates for identification, verifying profiles, drilling holes, operating overhead cranes, operating various production equipment, welding pieces, and preassembling if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble complex metal assemblies
  • Cut metal pieces using a torch
  • Prepare plates for identification and verification
  • Drill holes and operate overhead cranes
  • Operate various production equipment
  • Weld metal pieces and preassemble as needed

Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Welding Assembly
  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in reading plans and welding symbols
  • Attention to quality work and mastery of semi-automatic machines
  • Cleaning and visually inspecting welds
  • Maintaining respect for quality and health and safety procedures
  • CWB certification is an asset
  • Advanced spoken and intermediate written French language skills

Work Environment:

This is a full-time permanent position located in a manufacturing environment. The position requires alternating day and evening shifts (1 week on/1 week off) with an evening shift bonus. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
