Job Summary

Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Diet Office Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Regional Diet Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising diet technicians and clerks, managing the Regional Diet Office, and facilitating the Patient Choice Meal Service program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor diet office staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations
  • Manage the Regional Diet Office, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement standards and procedures for diet office support and diet management software
  • Collaborate with the Regional Diet Office team to maintain, develop, and implement changes to the Patient Choice Meal Service program
  • Evaluate services provided through internal audits and bring forward ideas on best practices between Interior Health facilities
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision
  • Minimum five (5) years of recent and related experience
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience with diet management software such as Computrition is an asset
  • Current Food Safe certification
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
