Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Signal and Communications Maintainer to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network by maintaining and repairing signal and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair signal and communication systems, including track circuits, interlockings, and communication equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with signal and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of the rail network.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in signal and communication maintenance or a related field is an asset.
  • Work site environment: Ability to work at heights, in cold/refrigerated environments, and in dangerous conditions.
  • Work setting: Ability to work in various locations, including outdoors.
  • Apprenticeship training: Level three, four, or five apprenticeship training is an asset.
  • Screening questions: Ability to work shift or on-call, legally able to work in Canada, willing to relocate, and reside in proximity to the advertised location.
