Job Summary:
Remcan Projects LP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signal and Communication Construction Foreperson to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance and construction crew, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing railroad signaling and communications equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate to heavy physical labor in a fast-paced environment
- Install, maintain, and repair railroad signaling and communications equipment
- Respond to emergencies and track outages
- Ensure compliance with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the railway industry and signal operations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Railway Construction atmosphere
- Experience operating heavy equipment on-and-off track (considered an asset)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to produce a driver's abstract
- Knowledge of and recent qualification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR)
- Must pass e-Rail safe Canada certification
- Able to pass pre-employment medical which includes drug screening
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
- Able to work all types of shifts as required
- Able to work in various weather conditions all year round
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote work locations as required
- Maintain company safety guidelines & policies at all times
