Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability

Job Opportunity:
The Director, Physical Infrastructure and Sustainability will provide strategic and operational leadership for the planning, design, and construction of university major and minor capital projects, as well as managing the multi-year, multi-million-dollar capital deferred renewal program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a multi-disciplined team of professionals with a strong commitment to their success and development
- Hold accountability for the capital project life cycle and space management program
- Champion sustainability and climate action and strategic planning
- Guide the development and implementation of programs and policies for sustainability, space planning, and infrastructure requirements of the university
- Collaborate with consultants and contractors
- Identify funding opportunities and develop proposals, budgets, and presentations on the sustainable landscape and infrastructure planning and development
Requirements:
- Strategic leader with superb communication and negotiating skills
- Proven track record of success in leading major capital projects, preferably in large complex organizations
- Eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Knowledge of and experience working with building fire and accessibility codes
