Fero Waste and Recycling Inc, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is a leading provider of waste management services in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. We are currently seeking a skilled Roll-Off Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Roll-Off Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and institutional sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Satisfy customer needs for service, ensuring that service is completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Complete daily routes as assigned by the Operations Manager, ensuring timely and safe completion of tasks.
  • Drive to customer sites, secure bins on the truck, empty bins at the transfer station, and return the bin to the customer site.
  • Perform driver check-ins at day's end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
  • Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities.
  • Required to climb up the ladder on the truck to tarp loads.
  • Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • May perform other additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of driving experience in a transportation sector.
  • Must possess minimum Class 3 Drivers license with air brake endorsement.
  • Experience driving manual transmission.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of the industry is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to pick up shifts and work additional hours as required.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
