Swing Driver Position

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Swing Driver to join our team in Saint John. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe collection of waste materials from residential and commercial locations.

Job Summary

The Swing Driver is responsible for operating Class 3 vehicles, adhering to established routes, and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate tandem trucks on designated routes, ensuring timely and efficient waste collection.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, identifying any potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers to receive delivery instructions and updates.
  • Safely load and unload waste materials from trucks, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Report any maintenance requirements or concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to follow schedules and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in waste or recycling operations is preferred but not required.
