Job Overview

Rothewood Academy White Rock is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young students.

Job Description
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve common goals, establishing collaborative relationships with community service providers working with children.
  • Environment Creation: Plan and maintain a safe and nurturing environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of our students.
  • Activity Coordination: Organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, ensuring their engagement and enjoyment.
  • School Age Program Management: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, ensuring seamless program delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification: Hold an Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Education: Possess a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: While experience is not mandatory, it is an asset.
