Join RONA+ as a Hardware Associate

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Hardware Associate to join our team at RONA+ in Kingston, Ontario. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing special orders, and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with their information and product requirements in the store or over the phone
  • Prepare special orders, obtain required information and specifications from customers, and contact Special Order Purchaser to establish and confirm price and available delivery date
  • Maintain the entire store, including ensuring areas are well-stocked and merchandised with current product levels and information signage
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform inventory counts, and highlight inventory concerns
  • Keep current on flyer and promotional events
  • Actively strive to increase product knowledge, understand application and/or renovation techniques, and improve selling skills by participating in available training sessions
Requirements:
  • Effective selling skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to assess customer requirements and make recommendations
  • Some experience in a customer-focused role is required
  • The ability to perform work duties involving stretching, bending, lifting, and carrying medium to heavy products
