Job Title: Daycare Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare Worker to join our team at Aslan Day Care Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, telling stories, teaching songs, and engaging children in creative play.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a child care centre in an urban area. The work environment is noisy, non-smoking, and air-conditioned.
