Job Summary:

FirstService Residential is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Client Accounting Department, you will be responsible for leading our Accounts Receivable team and ensuring excellent service is delivered to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Accounts Receivable staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of client accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze team performance to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain AR procedures and ensure compliance with company best practices and standards.
  • Identify and recommend training and process improvements to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and an accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in accounting or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving process improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
