Job OverviewThis position is responsible for the management and direct oversight of nursing operations and staffing of specific clinics in the Infusion network of the applicable region.
- Recruit, hire, and assign appropriately trained nurses to operate in regions as designated.
- Evaluate all employees within the applicable region and travel to all clinics in the region as needed.
- Infuse or inject in the clinic when scheduling issues arise.
The nurse manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the clinical aspects of the nurses and acts as a resource to the staff in the applicable geographical region.
- Provide clinical leadership to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff, engage staff in the use of evidence-based best practices, and promote a culture of continuous practice improvement.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition department to recruit certified and train nursing staff for each clinic.
- Lead the onboarding process for all new hires and manage orientation and infusion training for nurses in the region.
The nurse manager will evaluate the job performance of nursing staff by reviewing completed work assignments and techniques.
- Provide ongoing feedback to employees through performance check-ins.
- Identify performance gaps and initiate appropriate corrective action including training, counselling, and disciplinary action.
A strong focus on clinical expertise and clinic operations is required.
- Able to lead and manage change, coach and mentor a team of professionals.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- RN with College of Nurses of Ontario, Canada membership.
- 6+ years of professional RN experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical medical or hospital environment.
Please note that working knowledge of provincial regulatory requirements and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are also essential.
