About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at RONA Inc. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets, ensuring a safe working and shopping environment, and promoting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection and Safety
    • Promote and implement company-wide asset protection and safety initiatives to minimize loss and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Collaborate with store management teams to establish and maintain effective asset protection and safety procedures.
  • Investigations and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and losses, identifying root causes and developing recommendations for prevention.
    • Analyze data and performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver training programs for store associates on asset protection, safety, and loss prevention.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to store associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Partner with store management teams, HR, and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration on asset protection and safety initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement and security vendors.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of success in reducing losses and improving asset protection.
  • Education
    • College or university degree in a related field, such as business, criminology, or security.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in IT tools and software, including data analysis and reporting.
