The Physiotherapist will work in a tertiary care setting, assessing and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. The successful candidate will develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining optimal function.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university and membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and GroupWise. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification are also required.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Develop and implement holistic treatment programs using various techniques
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
- Collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives
The Physiotherapist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and may be required to provide services at various sites within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.
What We OfferThe Nova Scotia Health Authority offers a competitive salary of $42.89 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
