We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Advisor to join our team at Desjardins Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a leadership role in risk management and strategy development.

About the Role:

This senior position involves leading risk management initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to the implementation of an integrated risk management framework. Your expertise will enable you to provide strategic support to our Chief Risk Officer and help monitor risks across the organization.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing and implementing quarterly disclosure processes to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • SUPPORTING DGIG's Chief Risk Officer during presentations with decision-making bodies using your comprehensive risk knowledge.
  • CODUCING contributors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Contributing to the implementation of the integrated risk management framework at all levels of the organization.
  • Implementing and maintaining strategic, reputational, cultural, and geopolitical risk management practices.
  • Identifying and analyzing emerging risks to inform business decisions.
  • Contributing to corporate governance, policies, standards, models, and programs supporting various projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Representing your department before committees comprising senior managers and decision-making bodies.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Experience in project management and planning.
  • Membership in a professional association such as the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés, CIA, GARP, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written, due to the nature of the duties or work tools.
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
  • Interest in risk management.
