About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist I to join our team at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and MRI machines
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and draping
- Provide high-quality patient care, including communication and education
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset
- Comprehension of technical language to review and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions
- Competencies in other languages, French preferred
