About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team at SUNDINE PRODUCE INC. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.
  • Problem-Solving and Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff in duties and policies, ensuring a high-performing team.
  • Scheduling and Logistics: Establish work schedules and procedures, planning and overseeing operational logistics to meet business objectives.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, including purchasing and inventory clerks, shippers and receivers, storekeepers and parts clerks, and transportation route and crew schedulers.
  • Technology and Inventory: Utilize inventory control software and MS Excel to manage inventory and optimize operations.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organization, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience and Education: Have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
