About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Oncology Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing post-surgical interventions for various types of cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and focused assessments to ensure patient needs are met
  • Receive and care for complex post-operative patients
  • Administer medications and maintain peripheral and central lines
  • Monitor drains, stomas, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
  • Provide patient and family-centered education
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification
Requirements
  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor's degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), specialty certificate in oncology, and 1 year recent adult medical surgical nursing experience
