The Children's Program Lead will play a vital role in supporting the efficient daily operation and activity in after school programs, camps, and recreation programs and activities. This position requires collaboration with the Recreation Specialist to plan and implement quality programs for children aged 4-12 years.
Key Responsibilities- Support the operation and administration of YWCA Hamilton's after school programs and day camps, ensuring compliance with YWCA policies and procedures and the Child Care and Early Years Act requirements.
- Develop and deliver high-quality programs that promote learning and healthy development in children, aligning with YWCA Association goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the Recreation Specialist to implement curriculum and routines that meet the needs, interests, and talents of all children, creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for growth and safety.
- Ensure the classroom environment is clean and organized, including activity and program areas, and common spaces, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Administer authorized medications and creams according to policy, and maintain accurate records.
- Capture and monitor children's development goals and progress through regular documentation.
- Maintain accurate written records, including attendance, symptoms of ill health, and communication logs.
