We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Lead to join our team at GATX. As a Quality Control Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of railcar repairs and maintenance, while also providing technical support to our personnel.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform after-repair and/or after-finishing hold point inspections
* Document results and ensure defects are addressed
* Lead discussion on communicating findings
* Investigate trends
* Function as designated add-on approver
* Assist quality team with internal audits to confirm compliance with GATX, regulatory and customer requirements
* Work with applicable individuals to devise and implement actions to correct deficiencies and follow up on those actions to ensure effectiveness, as needed
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
* A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience
* General Inspector Qualification
* VT certification or the ability to gain this certification
* Knowledge and experience in applying structured problem-solving practices (e.g. 5 Whys)
* Advanced computer skills, including experience or the ability to be proficient with MS Office Suite, LCA, MMS, Shop Portal, ECM, MIS, SEM, SharePoint, Railinco ETQ, and Power BI
