Job Description

The successful candidate will join the CGMJ railcar cleaning department and be responsible for performing all aspects of railcar cleaning according to GATX procedures and policies.

The individual will maintain and operate various equipment, including boilers, steam equipment, and water management systems.

The role requires exceptional technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Complete all necessary work order documentation accurately and efficiently.
  2. Conduct repair and rebuild duties with attention to detail and quality.
  3. Apply technical expertise and problem-solving skills to maintain and repair equipment.
  4. Meet production targets while ensuring on-time delivery.
  5. Update documentation as required by GATX procedures.
  6. Oversee boiler operation, inspection, maintenance, and certification.
  7. Maintain boiler room equipment and facilities.
  8. Supervise railcar cleaning activities.
  9. Participate in daily management meetings.
  10. Perform pre-work tasks as assigned.
