Welder Specialist

At Bothar, we are seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team of professionals in the Calgary Yard and field locations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all equipment used by the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform welding, fabricating, fit-up, and layout tasks to ensure high-quality equipment and parts.
- Operate various welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW, to meet project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate execution.
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and maintain inventory of welding consumables.
- Assist in the training of Apprentice Welders and participate in tailgate and operations meetings.
- Welder Red Seal Journeyman certification.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in welding works.
- Relevant work experience with Microtunnel Boring Machines and trenchless technology is an asset.
- Pressure pipe welding experience is an asset.
- CWB certification would be an asset.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with varying shifts, including night shifts and holidays. The ability to work in all weather conditions, inside and outside, is essential. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and/or sitting, as well as manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
Pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol clearance are required. Must be eligible to work in Canada and fluent in English (written and spoken).
