Are you ready to take on a new challenge? We're looking for a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Calgary.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our Geotechnical team to bring local projects to life.
- Work closely with Project Engineers/Managers, design support staff, field technical staff, and materials testing staff on projects mainly in and around the Calgary area.
- Contribute to project design phase deliverables such as preparing proposals, conducting geotechnical site investigations, and acting as Engineer of Record (EoR) or Project Manager.
- Support project construction phase deliverables such as design submissions, field reviews, and preparing Letters of Compliance documents to Building Authority.
- Prepare and support close-out documents for completed projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geological/geotechnical engineering.
- Registration as a professional engineer with APEGA.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with Alberta soils.
- Strong technical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with proven ability to work independently or as a member of project teams.
- Excellent organizing, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics applications such as MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in engineering programs (gINT, SlopeW, MSEW are assets).
- Must possess a valid driver's license to travel to and from client offices and project construction sites.
