Job Summary

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules to ensure the team operates safely and efficiently. This role will also supervise and manage building maintenance and repair operations, including fire safety equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules to ensure the team operates safely and efficiently.
  • Supervise and manage building maintenance and repair operations, including fire safety equipment and systems.
  • Manage the building maintenance budget, negotiate service contracts with external suppliers, and monitor their performance.
  • Maintain records of compliance certificates and ensure facility security solutions and services meet ABB safety standards.
  • Manage all facilities and real estate services to maximize energy efficiency, conduct assessments, and recommend energy-saving solutions.
  • Provide transparency on facility and process energy consumption.
  • Evaluate buildings and recommend improvements in line with ABB's "Green Real Estate" approach.
  • Manage common areas, including parking lots and green spaces, to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Oversee activities such as landscaping and snow removal to maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of common areas.
  • Ensure all real estate activities are conducted with necessary safety controls to mitigate risks, in collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with ABB's asset management and services policy.
  • Manage site security and access.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, facilities management).
  • Ability to work in a regulated and structured environment.
  • Flexible schedule (available outside regular working hours).
  • Excellent priority management.
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
