Job Title: Mobile Building Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Building Operator to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. As a Mobile Building Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update materials and equipment inventories
  • Plan, schedule, and control costs for projects within your control
  • Supervise skilled workers (sub-contractors) in maintenance tasks such as generators, elevators, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical
  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure effective communication regarding status and priority of work
  • Inspect completed work and report any issues
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and generator systems
  • Perform corrective maintenance and planned preventive maintenance of technical systems
  • Submit monthly performance reports detailing site activity
  • Adhere to and implement health, safety, quality control, and environmental policies and programs

Requirements:

  • Well-developed people skills and superior customer service
  • Experience required with operations and maintenance of building systems
  • Keen interest and desire to continue learning and take initiative
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Computer literate
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Must obtain Reliability security clearance, Controlled Goods Access clearance, and complete a criminal background check
  • Must be able to respond to facility emergencies after hours
