Job Title: Mobile Building Operator

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill a Mobile Building Operator position.

This role involves ensuring the functionality of building systems, infrastructure, equipment, and fixtures necessary for the successful operation of the business. The successful candidate will work in a team environment that oversees the safe, secure, and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of these assets in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update materials and equipment inventories
  • Plan, schedule, and control costs for projects within their control
  • Supervise skilled workers (sub-contractors) in maintenance tasks such as generators, elevators, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical
  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure effective communication regarding status and priority of work
  • Inspect completed work
  • Perform walkthroughs, inspections, and condition reporting of all areas of a facility
  • Responsible for the efficient, effective, and successful control of all equipment maintenance, building structures, and property in accordance with approved practices, procedures, and methods
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date logs and record readings, maintenance, and repair work
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform work and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, generator systems, architectural systems, and all other building systems necessary for the operation of the site
  • Perform corrective maintenance of technical systems
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance of technical systems
  • Submit monthly performance reports detailing site activity
  • Adhere to and implement health, safety, quality control, and environmental policies and programs
