Job Opportunity at Alternacare

We are seeking a skilled and certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at our long-term care home in Orleans. As a PSW, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, working collaboratively with our staff to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and transferring
  • Support residents with their mobility and mobility-related needs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • PSW certificate or diploma
  • Good communication skills in French with English conversation
  • Uptodate immunizations (Covid, Hep B, TB, MMR, tetanus/diphtheria, varicella)
  • Valid police record check (vulnerable sector)
  • Valid CPR
