Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Happy Day Inn. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and cleanliness of our guests.

About the Job

This is a permanent position with 35-40 hours of work per week. We offer a competitive salary of $25,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a dust-free atmosphere.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to keep them looking their best.
  • Make beds and change sheets to provide a comfortable sleeping environment for our guests.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to ensure our guests have everything they need.
  • Stock linen closets to maintain an adequate supply of linens.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas as needed.
  • Handle and report lost and found items to ensure our guests' personal belongings are safe.
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide basic information on facilities to our guests.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to keep our hotel looking its best.
  • Clean changing rooms and showers to provide a clean and comfortable space for our guests.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Willingness to relocate to urban areas or be willing to travel.
  • Physically demanding work requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Team player with efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability, reliability, and client focus.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Values and ethics in line with our company's standards.
