Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen (Sandstone). As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high-quality food and service standards.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement work schedules to meet business needs and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen performance, including food quality, service standards, and staff productivity.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
