A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREGIVER SPECIALIST
As a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) under the supervision of the Home Care Aide Staffing Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the carrying out of a client plan of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and carrying out daily patient assignments
- Collecting patient and family data and reporting findings to supervisor
- Performing interventions and procedures as directed to ensure the safe effective quality of care for patients
- Performing a variety of patient care tasks including activities of daily living, collection of vital signs, ambulation/exercises, homemaking, etc.
- Effectively communicating clinical information-both verbally and in writing-to patients, their representatives, and home care staff, ensuring timely and appropriate reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have prior home care and/or hospice experience preferred
- Hold a valid state driver's license, vehicle, and automobile insurance; ability to successfully pass pre-employment driver record, criminal, adult, and child abuse background check/review required
