Job Summary

The Director of Health Services will oversee the delivery of quality care and services in Community Bundled Care programs, ensuring compliance with internal and external professional practice standards. This role is responsible for supporting the Integrated Care Solutions division in the Toronto area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to divisions and community bundled care programs on operational and clinical matters, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and provincial legislated standards and internal policies.
  • Participate in the Clinical/Quality Response Team (CQRT) to address quality concerns and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with Standard of Practice guidelines from the Provincial regulating body and liaise with them as required.
  • Review, research, edit, and disseminate Bayshore's policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and currency with best practice.
  • Lead clinical projects identified by the Area Director and collaborate with community bundled care programs on approved projects.
  • Conduct clinical analysis and research on best practice and clinical issues to inform decision-making.
  • Take an active leadership role in designing, implementing, adopting, and sustaining integrated digital health systems, resulting in greater efficiency in the utilization of digital health systems for delivering safe, high-quality evidence-based care.

Education

A Graduate degree in a health-related field is preferred; however, a Master's degree in progress may be considered if it aligns with other required skills, abilities, and experience. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is mandatory.

Experience

Solid knowledge of community nursing principles, practices, and methods, with experience in developing community-based care and client teaching programs. Theoretical frameworks and research application are also essential.

Skills and Abilities

This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, demonstrate high productivity, confidence, and sound judgment when interacting with various healthcare providers. Strong clinical skills, collaboration, leadership, and effective communication are also necessary. A minimum 30 w.p.m. typing speed is required. Basic clinical analysis and informatics competencies, including device, application, and information communication technology skills, are also expected. Travel to branch locations throughout Canada may be necessary, and proficiency in French is an asset but not mandatory.
