About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our Soucy Service Centre's legal team. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support to our various subsidiaries in different areas of law, including corporate, intellectual property, environment, labour and employment, etc.

Your primary focus will be on business law, mergers and acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, corporate policies, and applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, draft, and negotiate contractual agreements related to our business activities, including supplier contracts, licenses, and other relevant legal documentation.
  • Interpret laws, regulations, decrees, and other legal texts to ensure the interests and liability of our group companies are adequately protected.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors and internal stakeholders to provide expert legal advice and support.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, corporate policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify legal issues, analyze possible solutions, and provide recommendations to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in the creation, drafting, and implementation of standard procedures, policies, and contracts.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and business law.
  • Membership in the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
