About the Role

Rite Excavation Limited is a leading excavation, earthworks, and civil contractor seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute project start-up documentation, files, and forms.
  • Develop project plans, including phasing and sequencing plans.
  • Maintain project logs, binders, and electronic files.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, including letters, memos, emails, meeting minutes, and forms.
  • Enter and maintain contact directories and project lists.
  • Prepare budgets, price changes, and internal accounting revisions for approval.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing scheduled reports.
  • Assist in contract and contract revision preparation and distribution.
  • Implement the change order process.
  • Assist in summarizing events for the Management Team for risk items.
  • Assist with claims and notices.
  • Prepare project reports and assist the Project Manager(s) and/or General Manager with project administration as required.
  • Collect, compile, and distribute close-out documentation for operations and maintenance manuals.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
  • A minimum of three years as a Project Coordinator, with one year focused on North American construction practices.
  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in a similar role.
  • Ability to pass security screening(s)/check(s) with various authorities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Project.
  • Procore and Bluebeam proficiency.
  • Able to carefully review plans, contracts, and schedules to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct professionally with the mindset to obtain project, client, and consultant references and repeat business.
  • Able to work in a team or independently.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Willingness to work closely with diverse teams and adapt to various roles to build relationships with all business partners.
