At Aviva, we're looking for a Senior Reinsurance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our reinsurance team, you will be responsible for performing accounting functions and assisting in reporting functions, including the preparation of financial reports and schedules for internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities will include analyzing and setting up reinsurance accounting processes for new and modified Aviva reinsurance businesses, reviewing and reconciling client premiums, claims, and commissions bordereaux, and preparing financial statements and regulatory reports.

You will also be responsible for reconciling statements of receivables and payable to reinsurers/cedants, outstanding losses, premium reserves held, claim reserves held, and open accounts. Additionally, you will analyze and process reinsurance billings, investigate discrepancies to clear aged accounts receivable and payable, and prepare trend analysis on proportional treaties.

As a Senior Reinsurance Analyst, you will work closely with other team members to provide back-up support and participate in reinsurance projects as assigned. You will also be responsible for performing analysis and responding to internal and external client queries.

Requirements for this role include a university degree with a business/accounting major, professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, or equivalent), and a minimum of 2 years of assumed and/or ceded reinsurance accounting experience.
