We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Care Assistant to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Unit Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed by the healthcare team.
- Act as a member of the healthcare team, working collaboratively to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Previous patient care experience is preferred.
- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and transport patients and equipment.
This position involves extensive physical activity and requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
