Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cummins certified technician to join our team at Bayview Trucks - Bathurst. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair and diagnosis of X15 engines, as well as other complex systems. If you have a passion for heavy equipment and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Diagnosis: Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of X15 engines, including power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge and ability to navigate Insite and utilize EDS.
  • Documentation: Ability to write proper stories for Customer and Warranty work, explaining the repair.
  • Quality Control: Ability to understand and follow SRT.
  • Parts Identification: Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
  • Warranty Claims: Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
  • Vehicle Testing: Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
  • Technical Reporting: Complete technical reports from different manufacturers, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • After-Hours Service: Available to work covering the After-hours Service call for emergencies.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment and present themselves in a professional manner with a positive cooperative attitude.
  • Workplace Organization: Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move a maximum 50 lbs., (or in accordance with provincial workplace health & safety standards).
  • Training: Willing and able to continue training.
  • Credentials: Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows based software.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in a Service environment.
