Service Advisor

Are you a service professional looking to take your career to the next level? We are currently seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Peterbilt Atlantic Dartmouth.
As a Service Advisor, you will play a key role in our customers' experience, working closely with our technicians to identify and recommend necessary repairs and maintenance for their heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of Service department SRT is a must
- Ability to identify, search and fill parts orders as it relates to Heavy Duty trucks
- Greets customers promptly
- Obtains customer and vehicle information
- Clearly reports all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Determines and recommends needed maintenance base on age, mileage, and vehicle history
- Prepares complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
- Establishes follow-up time
- Monitors the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, updating customers frequently
- Verifies that final invoice reconciles with work performed on the repair order
- Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues
- Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations
- Maintain the company's standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations
- Increase profitability by maximizing sales & executing retail promotions
- Oversee mechanics working on vehicles, including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times
- Oversee and participate in quality control
- Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures as appropriate
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or service manager
- Knowledge of repair SRT for heavy trucking industry
- Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Above-average energy level
- A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
- Strong communication and customer relations skills
- General understanding of various functions of a distribution center
- CDK software knowledge an asset
- Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software programs
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
