Job Title: 4th Class Power Engineer

Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled 4th Class Power Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facilities' mechanical, electrical, and craft services systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair boilers, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing equipment, with a focus on steam, boiler, and hot water units.
  • Perform daily communication with supervisors and building personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems.
  • Evaluate equipment and systems operationally and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish performance standards for each phase of work and adhere to standard practices and quality levels.
Requirements:
  • TSBC 4th Class Power Engineer Certification or equivalent (TSSA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general building maintenance, with experience in hospitals considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS, Provincial Safety statutes, and basic applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Comfortable with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Automation System (BAS), and Microsoft Office 2013 applications.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
