Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at ONTARIO INC. as a Culinary Expert for Diverse Cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent physical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory and Record Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a restaurant environment, with a focus on Cantonese cuisine. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent physical capabilities, and be able to work under pressure.
