Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
  • Complete CRA filings, including HST and payroll remittances
  • Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters
  • Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards and CPD training requirements
  • Interpret CRA correspondence and communicate it to clients
  • Audit experience is an asset
  • Perform various accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Software proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Simply Accounting, Quickbooks, Caseware, and Taxprep
  • 3-5 years public accounting experience in Canada
  • Strong technical expertise and analytical skills
  • Ability to detect and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate well with clients both verbally and in writing

The successful candidate will have a CPA designation and proven experience in similar roles. Bilingualism and experience in a professional services firm are considered assets.
