Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport Technician to join our team at First Truck Centre. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the maintenance and repair of a variety of hydraulic truck-mounted equipment, cranes, bucket trucks, and hi-rail vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of heavy-duty vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency

Requirements

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate (Apprentice level 4 technician will be considered)
  • BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools
