Heavy Duty Parts Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Parts Technician to join our team at Velocity Truck Centres Canada. As a key member of our service department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technicians and customers by accurately identifying, locating, and supplying parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Parts Identification and Procurement: Accurately identify and locate parts for repairs and maintenance, placing orders as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Receive and verify incoming parts shipments, maintaining organized inventory storage and tracking usage trends to inform purchasing decisions.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with parts inquiries, providing information on availability, pricing, and ordering processes to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Parts Sales and Transactions: Process parts sales transactions accurately, including invoicing and payment collection, to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Technical Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of heavy-duty truck components to effectively identify parts and provide expert advice to customers and technicians.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate closely with service advisors, technicians, and other dealership personnel to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Class 5 License: Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a related role within the heavy-duty truck industry is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and components, with the ability to accurately identify and cross-reference part numbers.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and software applications used for parts ordering, inventory management, and sales transactions.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and track inventory levels effectively.
- Customer Service Skills: Customer service-oriented attitude, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
