About Cpask

Cpask is a leading organization dedicated to the growth and sustainability of Saskatchewan's creative industries. We support a wide range of sectors, including film, music, publishing, and visual arts, by providing funding, training, and resources to help creative entrepreneurs succeed.

Board of Directors

The Cpask Board of Directors plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our province's creative industries. Comprising of no more than 11 Directors, half of the Board is appointed by the Minister of Parks, Culture, and Sport, and the other half are recommended to our agency by our Nominations Committee. Our Board is a governance board and holds statutory power and obligations granted by The Cpask Act and The Cpask Regulations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic financial oversight and guidance.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of policy.
  3. Ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.
  4. Collaborate with other board members to support Cpask's mission and goals.
  5. Advocate for Saskatchewan's creative industries.

Qualifications and Expectations

We invite individuals who meet the following criteria to consider joining our Board:

  1. A strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management.
  3. A commitment to supporting the growth of Saskatchewan's creative industries.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  5. Previous board experience is an asset but not required.
  6. Willingness to actively participate in quarterly Board meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes.
  7. Passion for advancing the interests of Saskatchewan's creative industries and supporting local talent and exports.
  8. A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within the creative sector.

Benefits

Board Members are offered honorariums per meeting ($110 for Board Members and $155 for the Board Chair). If travel is required, per diems and mileage are also provided.
