Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialty Engineer to join our Trench Safety Division. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing safe and effective shoring systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate site conditions and design shoring systems that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Provide detailed engineering plans and calculations to support shoring system designs.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to provide quotes and proposals to customers.
  • Estimate project costs and develop proposals for customers.
  • Obtain and/or maintain professional licenses in multiple provinces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bilingual (French/English) proficiency.
  • Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) designation; B. S. in structural or civil engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years experience as a licensed engineer in a structural or geotechnical engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Codes and Standards, including CSA W59:24, CSA S16:24, NBC-2020, CSA A23.3:24.
  • Knowledge of basic structural engineering analysis and design standards.
  • Familiarity with basic soil properties, testing procedures, and interpretation of geotechnical data.
  • Proficient in the CCOHS Excavation Standard.
  • Experience with Autocad, Mathcad, MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
